Xyron Bercilla
Xyron Bercilla began his dance journey in 2017 through the church ministry Iron Saints, where he discovered his passion for movement, performance, and artistic expression. Throughout his journey, he has been part of various dance communities, including Team Elite and the DLS-CSB Performing Arts – Dance Program, where he is a graduate and alumnus. He eventually became part of And Friends, which has become his primary dance team and community as he continues to grow as an artist. Through these experiences, Xyron has developed a versatile foundation as a dancer while continuously exploring his individuality and artistry. His journey has brought him opportunities to compete and perform on both local and international stages, including winning 1st Place Gold at World of Dance Philippines 2023, becoming 1st Runner-Up at Dance Supremacy Philippines 2024, and earning 1st Runner-Up at Dance Supremacy International in Japan. Xyron is passionate about approaching dance as an art form, constantly seeking ways to make his movement expressive, intentional, and uniquely his own. Inspired by various local and international choreographers, as well as the directors who have guided him throughout his journey, he continues to evolve his artistry while exploring new ways of moving, creating, and telling stories through dance.
What should students expect in your class?

Expect more than just learning choreography—we’re going to mess around with movement, explore pedestrian grooves, fluid pathways, and figure out how to make “walking” look way cooler than it should. We’ll play with textures, intentions, and dynamics, because sometimes the same move can hit completely different depending on how you do it. There’ll be room to experiment, be playful, make questionable movement choices (the good kind), and let your personality show. Basically: learn the choreo, find your sauce, and don’t be afraid to look confident along the way.

What's your message to your students?

I know this class might feel intimidating, but I’m here to challenge you and offer you something new, exciting, and fun along the way. We’ll explore flow, fluid movement, textures, and intention—tools that can help you grow not only as a dancer, but as an artist. Don’t worry about getting everything perfect; give yourself room to explore, play, and trust the process. My hope is that through this class, you’ll discover something new in your movement and, most importantly, fall in love with dance a little more.
